Knit Kit Review: The Crafters Box “Cozy Knit Socks" Workshop Kit

Happy Tuesday everybody! I'm super excited to share this review of The Crafters Box "Cozy Knit Socks" knitting kit with you all! Let's get started! 😊

This review was provided by one of my sweet friends, who knit up + wrote up her opinion on this kit, (which also happened to be her 1st time knitting cabled socks!) - so this review is truly from a "first-time-cable-sock-knitter's" perspective, in case any of you beginner-knitters would like to try your hand at cabled sock knitting as well! 😉

Details:

The Crafter's Box "Cozy Knit Socks" knitting kit

Included in this kit is all of the essential information you'll need — from how to read a pattern and knitting by the chart to creating a classic knit sock constriction using double pointed needles.

SO many fun goodies are inside this Crafter's Box workshop kit -  a detailed, digital workshop exploring three cozy knit socks patterns, beechwood double point needles, stitch markers, a metal tapestry needle, 3 balls of yarn, and a retractable tape measure.

This lovely blush pink yarn is hand-dyed & part of an optional ‘upgrade’ for those participating in this Crafter's Box workshop.

Here's my sweet friends review (written in her own words) for you all! 😊

"When my friend Brenna Ann asked if I'd like to work up the knitted socks from the crafters box, I jumped at the opportunity.

Opening the box and seeing all the pretty yarn and fun accessories, I was excited to get started. So I downloaded and printed the first pattern, which is for mock cables.

Eager to get started, and still considering myself a beginner knitter (though I've learned a lot since the first pair of knitted socks), I must admit that I felt a little overwhelmed by the instructions alone, and quickly set off to watching the accompanying video (which was very well done, btw).  Unfortunately for me, it took watching certain sections over and over, along with reading particular portions of the written pattern for it to be clear for me.

Finally, I understood what I needed and was able to finish making the socks. Now, the only trouble I still face (and has not changed since my first pair of socks), is getting the same tension on sock #2  :-S

By the time I finished, I realized things I could (and should) have done differently - such as making a shorter heel flap.

All in all, I would make these again, and I'm definitely looking forward to working up the other two patterns (each of which are a little more challenging than the previous)."

Check out how amazing her 1ST PAIR of cabled knitted socks turned out below!

Thank you SO much again to my sweet friend, for providing this wonderful review of The Crafters Box “Cozy Knit Socks" Workshop Kit for all of us! 🌻

Have YOU ever knit a pair of socks? If so, comment below which is YOUR favorite sock kit / pattern - I'd love to check it out! 😊

Happy knitting everybody!
