Today I'm super excited to share this review of The Crafter's Box "Tiled Block Print with Gradation Workshop" with you all! Let's get started!

This review was provided by one of my sweet friends, who completed + wrote up her opinion on this kit, (which also happened to be her 1st time tile block printing!) - so this review is truly from a 1st timer's perspective, in case any of you would like to try your hand at tile block printing as well! 😉

Here's my sweet friends review (written in her own words) for you all! 😊

"This was fun, but messy! The video was well done and the instructions were clear and easy to follow.

I enjoyed drawing the template, and especially enjoyed carving out the rubber stamp.

There were a few challenging points while trying to get the inked pad in the correct place, but in the end it worked out nicely. At first I was concerned that some of the ink wasn't transferring as well as other areas, but when my family saw it, they liked that it had a distressed look.

The biggest downside to this type of craft is the fabric ink. While hands and surfaces clean up easily with water, the odor is quite strong and long-lasting. I had to love the scarf to the garage to dry as the fumes were giving me headaches. It took a week to fully set the ink, and after it was washed, the paint smell went away.

I would like to try this again with different colors or gradients (such as diagonal, as shown in the tutorial).

Thumbs up for this kit!"
