I'm so excited to announce the 1st knitting tutorial video in my "Knit Along With Me" Series! Can you guess what we'll be making? ;-D

If you follow me on Instagram, you've probably noticed that I LOVE to use handmade coasters. It doesn't matter if I'm having coffee, tea, or hot chocolate - you will usually see my cup sitting on top of a cozy, handmade mug rug.

I know it'll become your favorite way to keep your hot or cold beverage, cute & comfortable too! (Plus protect your tables, counters, blankets, or whatever you usually rest your drink on!) 

Besides being my favorite mug accessory, these knit coasters are also a fantastic project for beginner knitters! Why? Well, let me tell you! ;-D

1. They use basic knitting skills.
2. They are fast & easy to make.
3. They are the perfect, useful small project to practice your new knitting skills with - thus, instant gratification!

How to Knit Chunky Coasters / Mug Rugs

Materials Needed:

5oz of chunky, #6 yarn

1 pair of US 15, 10mm knitting needles

A crochet hook or tapestry needle (for weaving in ends)

Scissors
